About DMD


In 1983 Kevin Nelson was asked to develop a practice logo and communications tools for a dental practice in the, then, small bedroom community of Meridian, Idaho. Over the next several months as he worked with more and more dental practices, Kevin began to notice an upwelling change beginning in the communication of dental care.

The old paradigm contended that if you just practiced good, solid dental care you were assured success. But with the emerging power of assertive consumer awareness dentists were learning that it was no longer good enough to be good enough. They not only needed to practice quality dental care, they needed to learn to communicate the benefits of that quality dental care to prospective patients.

With his hand on the pulse of change in the perception of dental services Kevin formed Dental Marketing Design (DMD) to meet the specific and unique marketing and communication needs of dental practices across the country.

For 25 years, working personally with dentists from Albany to Albuquerque and from San Francisco to Toronto, logging in thousands of miles crisscrossing the country, Kevin and the DMD team has helped foster a revolution in the promotion of successful, growing practices.
